GAMBLESBY CHAPEL RE-DEVELOPMENT PLANS

Category : Uncategorised

We have a vision for the future of Gamblesby Methodist Chapel as detailed in the attached consultation document. Whilst we appreciate not everybody will be able to help directly, it would be appreciated if as many people as possible across the Mission Community could complete the attached survey. This will both enable us to demonstrate widespread support when we apply for grant aid as well as gauging overall opinion. Completed surveys can either be emailed back to Claire Slee or posted to Hilltop Farm Gamblesby Penrith CA101HY. Responses would be appreciated by the end of January.

Choir

Category : Uncategorised

The choir, which is now representing the East of Eden Mission Community led a service of carols on the 17th December at Kirkoswald Chapel.

The theme was ‘Amazing’ and the leading piece was ‘Amazing Grace’ . This  was accompanied by Paul Rennison on the bagpipes which gave a special start to the service.
Other pieces were ‘You Came from the Highest’,’How Quietly’, ‘Silver Star’ and ‘Silent Night’. Readings were given by members of the congregation and the service was led by Rev Les Wallace, who also sang in the choir. A rendition of the Twelve Days of Christmas followed, along with mulled wine and mince pies. Thanks to Jennifer Jackson, the conductor and Helen Armstrong, pianist, for once again, leading the first class choir!
Thanks also to Margaret Cranston and team for the beautiful  decoration of the chapel.
