Renwick Methodist ChurchRenwick Methodist Church Contact: Reverend Colin Marchment
The original Chapel at Renwick was built in 1819, it was rebuilt in 1905. A listed building, the Chapel has a school room and kitchen. The organ, a pipe organ, is the only one in the circuit.
Services are held every Sunday night at 6pm throughout the Summer months and at 2.30pm during Winter.
The Chapel celebrates its anniversary every June and our annual Strawberry Cream Teas event is held every July, welcoming all members of the circuit and the local community. Our Harvest Festival is held in October.
The villagers have access to Post Office facilities within the Chapel every Thursday morning and a weekly coffee morning is held every Wednesday in the Sunday school. At Christmas time these coffee mornings raise funds for charity.
The Sunday school room is used most weeks by groups for Yoga and Tai-Chi, the History group and choir practice for The Ravens, a local choir.
We occasionally hold Local Arrangement services. This service is led and the congregation takes part with hymns, readings, prayers etc.
We have strong links with our Anglican friends at All Saints and hold joint alternative Mother’s Day and Carol services.
We offer a warm welcome to all.
